Harmony was a stunning word to be implied to the program of Indonesia and Thailand’s culture exhange last night (may 12, 2014). Both of involved students from both countries presented their best performance to proud their beloved countries. The program named Indonesia Thailand Friendship Cultural Program (ITFCP) was held by Muda Menginspirasi collaborated with Permitha to meet several purposes such as to acknowledge for Thai People that Indonesia has so many diversity cultures, to improve the cooperation between students from both of those countries, and of course to notice the readiness of Indonesia and Thailand to face ASEAN Economic Community in 2015, said by Kelvin Benedict Lesmana, the chairman of ITFCP. The program itself was supported by more than 20 universities in Indonesia and the first international program of Muda Menginspirasi and next year the same program will be held in South Korea. Kelvin said that the students from Indonesia was very enthusiastic to welcome this program and they prepared to perform until late night.
Muda Menginsiprasi tried their best to present the unforgettable performances for audiencesa and it showed from the whole concept of the program. They linked one performance to another performances by storytelling and they used puppet-like stalks to be the unique characters that present the whole shows. Started from saman dance of Aceh and closed by sajojo dance of Papua, also a great woman vocalist of Java who delivered “nembang”, such a mysterious and mystic experience from such a strong voice. Thai students also presented something unique, they performed Thai Children traditional game and choir of popular song of Thai artist, such an entertaining performances.
Represented the Indonesian ambassador, Education Attache of Indonesian Embassy, Mr. Yunardi Yusuf said that the Indonesian embassy will support the program like this because this is one way that we can do to introduce our culture for Thai people because people to people contact is one of the the effective way to to promote socio culture activities. “but, it’s must be clear who will be the audiences, if we want Thai people to be our audiences, we have to prepare the program intensively and have a compact cooperation with the student organization like Permitha, it means all of the supported attributes have to be prepared as perfect as we can, because it’s important to improve Thai people comprehension about the diverty of culture that we have in Indonesia” continued Mr. Yunardi.
Culture has speak louder than any other attributes that we have to deliver our diversity, even culture brings us together and stay in one harmony, it puts us to respect and appreciate the uniqueness of being different and present in one stage called “world”, quite similar with our motto “Bhinneka tunggal ika” or even we are different but we stay in one unity (Fassa).
